Gong

The gong is an ancient transformative tool used in ancient times for various awakening, alarming, transcending and meditative processes.

The vibrations of the gong have a very wide frequency and, according to many, encompass all the sounds of the universe and are perhaps similar to the primordial sound at the Big Bang of creation.

Vibrations propagate easily in liquid and therefore set all our cells in vibration. The variation, breadth and sequence of the frequencies cannot be predicted by our logical and musical mind which means that the mind eventually gives up in its attempts to categorize, predict and recognize the sounds. This results in a state of total relaxation both physically and mentally. A condition we strive for with so many different technologies today.

Anne and Elenor Saranraj received their basic training from Ada Devinderjit Namani and Gérard Jap Nirantar from Germany who were trained by Nanak Dev Singh for many years. They continue their education with Ada Devinderjit Namani.

The gongs are 32" large symphonic gongs and were personally selected during a study visit to the Paiste factory in Germany in February 2017.

Saran Yoga arranges both gong relaxations which is a soft session with deep relaxation to the gong after a yoga session and White Sound Gongmeditation which after a yoga session is a transformative meditation lying at rest to the gong's most powerful transformative vibrations.

We also provide private gong relaxation sessions, group or individual.

Our gongs

Our gongs are 32" symphonic gongs.

Here you can see parts of the craftsmanship behind each gong. It is hammered to perfection and towards the end the fine tuning is done by a person who listens to each finished gong.
